The Omni San Diego Hotel is located in the heart of the historic Gaslamp Quarter and just minutes away from the world-famous San Diego Zoo and the museums of Balboa Park. The San Diego Trolley is just steps from the front door with access to Old Town and Mission Valley.  Along with bustling nightlife, numerous breweries and a lively theater scene, San Diego is a must-see destination.

Attendees are eligible for a special room rate of $269 (plus tax) by:

  • Visiting:  bit.ly/2Mt3AyI
  • Or calling 1-800-THE-OMNI (843-6664) and asking for the MWFA, NFDA, Pac-west rate.

Reserve your room by Tuesday, February 19, 2019to get the special rate. Remember, rooms can sell out prior to this deadline.

The Omni appears to be sold out for some of our meeting dates. We will know on February 19 if we can add more rooms to our block. For now, consider using a site like expedia.com or hotels.com to reserve a room at a nearby hotel in the Gaslamp district. Our search indicates availability at several hotels in the area.

WARNING: Contracted guestroom blocks for meetings have become victims to hotel poachers. The company is called Exhibition Hotel Management and they sometimes have been able to contact members attending the meeting. This results in guestrooms not being booked inside our block. The poachers have sent copies of a form guests requesting a credit card. It all looks very legitimate.

You should book your rooms directly with the hotel, using the information provided above.

Parking

Overnight valet parking is $40.  Parking is also available at nearby public lots.

Travel

The Omni San Diego Hotel is four miles from San Diego International Airport (SAN).  Shuttle fares are approximately $10 one way per person.

There are certain states that have not yet met the new ID requirements and as of January 22, 2018passengers in those states will have difficulty traveling without an accepted ID, such as a passport. Travelers should be prepared for their IDs to be challenged, even in states with waivers, extensions, or grace periods. You can check to see your state's status here. Older drivers’ licenses will be an issue in some states, and we would encourage all meeting attendees to travel with US government-issued IDs/passports, even when traveling domestically, to ensure they do not encounter any issues during this time period.
