New for 2026, Fastener Training Institute (FTI) will host its flagship training program, Fastener Training Week, at Fastener Fair USA in Charlotte, North Carolina, from May 4-8, at the Charlotte Convention Center. 

“This is incredible! We always provide a day session at Fastener Fair USA, but this year, we are bringing our entire advanced training week to the show,” said Jo Morris, Managing Director for FTI. 

Fastener Training Week registration includes Fastener Fair USA exhibit hall entry and students will have dedicated time to explore the show. The optional opening night networking party at the NASCAR Hall of Fame on May 5 is an added opportunity for students to visit with industry professionals. 

Virtual tours and in-depth presentations from FTI suppliers – including a quality lab, cold header and secondary processor – make this session unique. Sponsored by Birmingham Fastener, Fastener Training Week offers fastener professionals the opportunity to learn through case studies, hands-on demonstrations, learning labs, general classroom instruction - and study through behind the scenes manufacturing and quality lab processes. The extensive curriculum is facilitated by industry experts and leads to Certified Fastener Specialist™ designation after class completion and passing a final exam.

The curriculum includes hands-on demonstrations with gages and calipers, plus lessons on quality assurance systems, sampling plans, fastener failures, print reading, thread technology, standards and much more.
