Fastener Training Week heads west to Los Angeles, November 17-21

Fastener Training Institute (FTI) will present its final Fastener Training Week of 2025 in Los Angeles, November 17-21.

“We’ll end the year in Los Angeles - excited to teach more fastener professionals what it takes to become a Certified Fastener Specialist,” said Jo Morris, Managing Director for FTI. “The more CFS trained fastener employees there are, the safer and more robust our industry will stay.”

Fastener Training Week is FTI’s flagship training program. Students gain Certified Fastener Specialist™ (CFS) designation by completing the week-long training and passing a final exam.

Birmingham Fastener supports Fastener Training Week as sponsor for 2025 which features consensus standards organizations, IFI resources, torque tension, QA systems and sampling plans, thread technology and gage issues, print reading and tolerances, material specifications for steel fasteners and understanding how fasteners fail.

It is thorough and challenging. Students engage in hands-on exercises, case studies, learning labs, equipment demonstrations, off-site plant tours and expert instruction from Laurence Claus and Salim Brahimi from Industrial Fasteners Institute.

“Salim and Laurance are not only sharp, smart and beyond knowledgeable about all things fasteners, but they also are generous with nuggets of wisdom; that part is priceless,” said Morris.

Fastener distributors, manufacturers, end-users as well as sales and quality assurance professionals are all encouraged to attend.

Register early to secure your spot. The cost to attend is $3300 per person with a $500 discount available for multiple attendees and association members (Pac-West, NFDA, IFI, MWFA, NCFA and SFA). Prices increase on November 4, 2025. Learn more and register or email Jo Morris with questions. Training is ideal for individuals as well as company teams.
