Fastener Quality and Compliance

8:45 - 11:45 am

For both legal and safety reasons, fastener distributors and manufacturers must comply with a myriad of regulations and standards. Our morning will begin with a presentation

on conflict minerals reporting requirements. With the Dodd-Frank Act a moving target in Congress these days, what is a fastener distributor to do? Lawrence Heim, managing director of Elm Sustainability Partners LLC, will be on hand to give us the latest information.

The program will conclude with a panel presentation by fastener distribution and quality managers, moderated by Michael Lentini (Spirol), who will discuss best practices in fastener quality and compliance and touch on RoHS and REACH issues.

  • There is a new administration in Washington – what should we expect?
  • What kind of pricing pressures are we facing?
  • What is the economic health of the US consumer?
  • What is happening with job growth and wages?
  • What is happening on the demand side of the equation?
  • What is happening in China, the UK and Europe – what does that mean for us?
